This is a very good deal. Chicago Chophouse is one of Calgary’s nicer restaurants. I took my wife there for our anniversary a couple years ago. Serious Canada Prime steaks—dry aged in-house—and an extensive wine list are the focus of Chicago Chophouse’s boutique steakery, although there are plenty of options for the not-so-carnivorously inclined. Tear into the menu’s signature dry-aged New York striploin ($43) with the abandon of a reckless team of shuffle-boarders, or feast upon the Cajun-crusted seared ahi tuna, accompanied by soy butter rice and drizzled with a teriyaki glaze ($28). The modern, chic dining room has two levels, but hungry eyes are drawn to the foyer of Chicago Chophouse, where the evening’s beef cuts are displayed with pride.
