Students gather from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. within the modern architecture of the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Centre for a hands-on basic photography workshop with internationally acclaimed professional photographer and instructor Brad Wrobleski. Through both lecture and hands-on exercises, Brad and his two assistants will endow students with the skills to take professional-quality pics by manipulating the shutter speed and aperture on manual settings. The hands-on exercises help photographers develop manual dexterity when operating their cameras and become accustomed to the controls. Attendees should supply their own digital SLR camera with a midrange lens, two memory cards, and two batteries.

Founded with the objective of simplifying the often overcomplicated art of digital photography, fotoscool employs a team of seasoned instructors—each a longtime professional with a celebrated career—to guide photography students through seminars and workshops held across the country.
