GO FLAMES GO! In Anaheim to watch the Flames!

GO FLAMES GO!

I’m blogging from Anaheim, California! One of the benefits of being a full-time blogger is the freedom to work from anywhere in the world as long as I have a laptop.

I’m a diehard Flames fan and have been following the Flames in the Playoffs. I attended 5 of the 6 games against the Canucks in Round 1, and had a nice (4W, 1L) record. I declared myself the Flames lucky charm and booked a last minute flight to Anaheim for Games #1 and #2. I’ll be back in Calgary to join the CofRed for Games #3 and #4.

It definitely helps being a deal hunter. I researched and found cheap flights, hotel, and car rental. Unlike Calgary, there’s not a lot of demand for playoff tickets in Vancouver and Anaheim. You can easily buy tickets for below face value in both cities. I found a very good pair of lower bowl tickets in Anaheim for 37% below face value!

No matter what happens, win or lose, I’m proud of this team and to be a Calgarian. This playoff run has brought the best out of everyone. The Red Mile after we eliminated the Canucks in Game 6 was incredible. The sense of unity and community is what makes this city great.
