Calgary Stampede: $5 Discounted Admission (July 15, 5pm-7pm)
Yahoo! The Calgary Stampede is slashing general admission entrance to only $5 per person (regularly $18) on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 5pm – 7pm!
This is the 2nd day in a row the Stampede is offering this deal to try and boost attendance during a week that’s been full of rain. Attendance is down this year largely because of the wet weather and a struggling Calgary economy.
Check out my Calgary Stampede posts from last week if you’re looking for money saving tips and deals or how to find all the free stampede breakfasts.
The Stampede slashed admission to $5 per person Thursday afternoon from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Stampede officials made the decision after that to extend the offer – for the same hours – to Friday evening as well.
“We are so appreciative of our community’s support and we all had so much fun, that we’re going to do it again,” says Bill Gray, President and Chairman of the Board, Calgary Stampede.
Stampede officials say even if it can’t make the sun come out they want to make the fun come out.
The Stampede says that, despite this, they had budgeted for lower numbers given the economy in Alberta.
Tickets to the Grandstand during the weekdays are also undersold.
