About This Deal
Campers will work together to write, cast, design and stage the world-premiere of an original theatre play!
During this 5-day camp youth ages 7-12 will work together to write, cast, design and stage an original theatre production in Calgary’s newest black box theatre, The Theatre, located in the Beltline.
A NEW PLAY BY YOU!
Stage Write is designed to engage youth in a safe and fun-focused environment that is low-pressure and low-stakes. The final performance is an experimental process, one in which campers may participate in any capacity that they feel most comfortable. Camp leader, Abagail Vanmerlin, brings a wealth of experience in working with children and theatre teacher training, including international experience as a theatre artist.

Campers will work together to write and rehearse short scenes, create a set, costumes & props, and learn basic technical theatre skills, all in five days!
Before / After Care Included
Before and after care is included in the camp price; reservation for before and after care is not required and may be used throughout the week as needed.
Children can enjoy games, painting, puzzles, and a quiet space to read and write.
