$20 for a Three-Hour Camera 101 Workshop ($99 Value)

Acclaimed photographer Brad Wrobleski and his crew of experienced instructors introduce students to important buttons and features on their Canon or Nikon digital SLR cameras at the Bridgeland Riverside Community Association. Classes are held Monday and Tuesday evenings in March.

With a firm belief that the first step to great photography and self-expression is to truly understand the tools of the trade, fotoscool curates workshops designed to make the visual art more accessible. With a team of seasoned pros led by world-renowned shutterbug Brad Wrobleski, the school introduces new photographers to the art and builds upon the knowledge of seasoned and professional shooters with advanced classes. Students leave seminars and workshops with skills that include how to take advantage of a DSLR camera’s most important buttons and features or how to set up lighting so they can properly capture stunning landscapes or the first un-blurry picture of bigfoot. Keeping in line with their hands-on approach, the team often takes students out on location, and occasionally coordinates overseas photo workshops to show students what the life of a jet-setting photographer is like while learning to work around unfamiliar territory.
