Stage West Theatre Restaurant elegantly entertains dinner-theatre devotees with riotous stage productions augmented by a bountiful buffet. The comedic performance of Don’t Hug Me whisks theatregoers away on a knockabout, music-filled sojourn to the north woods of Minnesota, where a cadre of quirk-infused characters partake in a spirited battle of wills against their stubborn significant others. The snow-capped love story is peppered with jubilant karaoke tunes that prompt even the most stoic shoulders to shimmy discreetly, including a rousing improvised free-style song about the outfit of an audience member. Be sure to leave anyone younger than 16 at home with their st. bernard chaperone, as this tale of relationships and rollicking ditties bears a parental guidance and discretion warning for lighthearted lasciviousness.

The dinner buffet menu escorts an array of entrees—including sushi, roasted chicken, and swordfish—into expectant mouths that can also double as a foil during heated fencing matches between tables. The buffet begins at 6 p.m. on weeknights and at 5 p.m. on Sunday evening, leaving nearly two hours to pile plates and nosh in good company until the performance commences.
